On Thursday, August 21st., Catholic Charities is hosting their 4th Annual Patrick J Ryan Golf Outing at the St. Andrews Golf & Country Club in West Chicago. Join us, beginning at 8 a.m., at the full day of golf, food and fundraising for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago that attracts over 300 golfers and benefits the Loving Outreach to Survivors of Suicide (LOSS) Program for Children and Youth. The memorial outing was established by former Attorney General for the State of Illinois, Jim Ryan, his wife, Marie and their family after the loss of their son, Patrick J. Ryan to suicide.
“Proceeds from the Patrick J. Ryan Golf Outing benefit the Catholic Charities Loving Outreach to Survivors of Suicide (LOSS) Program for Children and Youth. This free counseling program specifically addresses the unique needs and emotions that youth experience after losing a loved one to suicide. Since its inception, the program has helped more than 150 children and their families,” said Jim Ryan, event co-chair.
Tee up in the morning for some exciting holes, feast on a delicious lunch buffet, and then head to the clubhouse for a cocktail reception, award ceremony, dinner, and an exciting silent and live auction including a raffle!
